Bhubaneswar, April 21: Commissionerate police on Monday arrested three persons on charges of duping many youngsters on pretext of providing jobs in Israel.
The accused have been identified as Babulahari Gouda of Hinjilikatu, Ganjam, Mahesh ramchandra Lokhande of KegaonTaluka and Kiran Shasikant Ghumre of Mumbai.
On 20.04.2025, acting on a complaint by Sunil Kumar Sah, Protector of Emigrants, Bhubaneswar (Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India), a case was registered regarding an illegal interview being conducted in a hotel under Kharvel Nagar PS for alleged recruitment to various posts in Israel.
Investigation revealed that the accused individuals had widely circulated fake advertisements on social media and used forged documents resembling official notifications from the Ministry of Labour & Employment to mislead job seekers. They were collecting Rs. 5,000 in advance and told that they will to collect Rs. 70,000 upon issuing offer letters.(fake)
The accused were neither authorized by the Ministry of External Affairs nor by any registered recruitment agency. Swift police action led to the apprehension of three accused persons. This action prevented the huge loss of money of the job seekers.
The police also seized resumes of several candidates, forged documents and four mobile phones from their possession.
