Keonjhar, Oct 23: Interstate criminal Arjun Pradhan was allegedly shot in the right leg by Nandipada Police during an encounter after he reportedly opened fire at police personnel.

According to reports, the encounter took place when police confronted Pradhan near the village. He allegedly opened fire at the police team, prompting the personnel to retaliate. During the exchange of fire, Pradhan sustained a bullet injury to his right leg.

He was subsequently shifted to Cuttack for medical treatment.

Pradhan is reportedly involved in more than 20 criminal cases registered across Odisha, Bihar and Jharkhand. Police are expected to investigate the circumstances surrounding the encounter and his alleged involvement in multiple criminal activities across the three states.
