Jeypore, May 8: Amid the Indo-Pak terror following the Pahalgam terrorist attack, schools in Rajasthan villages, bordering Pakistan, were shut down on Thursday, till further order.
The local admin in line with the defense authorities worked on it, following the Operation Sindoor on Pakistan by the Indian Armed Forces.
In the wake of India's missile strikes on terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), all government and private schools in Rajasthan's border districts, including Barmer, Bikaner, Sri Ganganagar, and Jaisalmer, were ordered to close until further notice.
All private and government schools in the four border districts of Ganganagar, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, and Barmer in Rajasthan weree shut down as a precautionary measure after Indian army attacks in Pakistan, an official confirmed.
Apart from it, these districts along the India-Pakistan border are put on high alert, anticipating missile attack by Pak forces or terrorists.
Worth mentioning, Rajasthan shares a 1,070-kilometre border with Pakistan, which is now considered more porous regarding infiltration and cross-border terrorism.
Security has been ramped up in sensitive areas, and surveillance has been heightened to ensure the safety of the public in the bordering villages.
