New Delhi, January 6: Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated on Monday that the India-US comprehensive global strategic partnership has reached new milestones, particularly in the fields of technology, defense, and space. His comments came after a meeting with Jake Sullivan, the US National Security Advisor currently visiting India.
Sullivan’s visit comes just two weeks ahead of the inauguration of Donald Trump as the 47th President of the United States. Modi took to social media platform 'X' to express his pleasure at meeting Sullivan: “It was a pleasure to meet US National Security Advisor @JakeSullivan46,” he wrote.
During their meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized the growing strength of India-US ties, particularly in areas such as technology, defense, space exploration, biotechnology, and Artificial Intelligence. "The India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership has scaled new heights, and I look forward to building upon this momentum for the benefit of our people and for the global good," Modi said.
Earlier, Sullivan also met with India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar. The Minister expressed his appreciation for Sullivan's role in deepening bilateral, regional, and global cooperation over the past few years. “Delighted to meet US NSA @JakeSullivan46 in New Delhi today. We continued our ongoing discussions on strengthening our ties. I valued the openness of our conversations in the last four years and appreciated his personal contribution to forging a closer and stronger India-US partnership,” Jaishankar wrote on 'X'.
