New Delhi, May 22: Moving ahead with India’s extensive global outreach campaign aimed at exposing Pakistan’s alleged role as a hub of international terrorism, the third group of high-level, all-party parliamentary delegations led by DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi left for a five-nation tour on Thursday.
As per reports, the group is scheduled to visit Russia, Slovenia, Greece, Latvia, and Spain to strengthen India's diplomatic efforts and show the country's firm commitment to fighting terrorism in all its forms.
Earlier, two groups of high-level delegations left for Japan and the United Arab Emirates as part of a tour to five countries.
First batch of all-party parliamentary delegations headed by JD(U) leader Sanjay Kumar Jha left for Japan on Tuesday night. The second delegation led by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde also left the national capital on Wednesday.
Details of the groups are as follows:
In Group 1, the following people will visit Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Algeria: Baijayant Panda (BJP MP), Nishikant Dubey (BJP MP), Phangnon Konyak (BJP MP), Rekha Sharma (BJP MP), Asaduddin Owaisi (AIMIM MP), Satnam Singh Sandhu (Nominated MP), Ghulam Nabi Azad, and Amb. Harsh Shringla.
In Group 2, the following people will visit the UK, France, Germany, the EU, Italy, and Denmark: Ravi Shankar Prasad (BJP MP), Daggubati Purandeswari (TDP MP), Priyanka Chaturvedi (Shiv Sena MP), Ghulam Ali Khatana (MP), Amar Singh (INC MP), Samik Bhattacharya (BJP MP), MJ Akbar, and Amb. Pankaj Saran.
In Group 3, the following people will visit Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Indonesia and Singapore: Sanjay Kumar Jha (JDU MP), Aparajita Sarangi (BJP MP), Yusuf Pathan (AITC MP), Brij Lal (BJP MP), John Brittas (CPI (M) MP), Pradan Baruah (BJP MP), Hemang Joshi (BJP MP), Salman Khurshid, and Amb. Mohan Kumar.
In Group 4, the following people will visit the UAE, Liberia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Sierra Leone: Bansuri Swaraj (BJP MP), Shrikant Eknath Shinde (MP), ET Mohammed Basheer (IUML MP), Atul Garg (BJP MP), Sasmit Patra (BJD MP), Manan Kumar Mishra (BJP MP), S.S. Ahluwalia, and Amb. Sujan Chinoy.
In Group 5, the following people will visit the US, Panama, Guyana, Brazil, and Colombia: Shashi Tharoor (INC MP), Shambhavi (LJP MP), Sarfaraz Ahmad (JMM MP), GM Harish Balayogi (TDP MP), Shashank Mani Tripathi (BJP MP), Bhubaneswar Kalita (BJP MP), Milind Murli Deora (Shiv Sena MP), Amb. Taranjit Singh Sandhu, and Tejasvi Surya (BJP MP).
In Group 6, the following people will visit Spain, Greece, Slovenia, Latvia, and Russia: Kanimozhi Karunanidhi (DMK MP, Leader), Rajeev Rai (SP MP), Mian Altaf Ahmad (NC MP), Capt. Brijesh Chowta (BJP MP), Prem Chand Gupta (RJD MP), Ashok Kumar Mittal (AAP MP), Amb. Manjeev S. Puri, and Amb. Jawed Ashraf.
In Group 7, the following people will visit Egypt, Qatar, Ethiopia, and South Africa: Supriya Sule (NCP MP, SCP), Rajiv Pratap Rudy (BJP MP), Vikramjeet Singh Sahney (AAP MP), Manish Tewari (INC MP), Anurag Singh Thakur (BJP MP), Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu (TDP MP), Anand Sharma, V. Muraleedharan, and Amb. Syed Akbaruddin.
The delegations aim to express India's strong position against terrorism and ask for international support to hold Pakistan responsible. New Delhi continues to say that Kashmir is a matter to be dealt with between India and Pakistan.
The delegations will focus on two main things: informing foreign governments about the Pahalgam terror attack and explaining that ‘Operation Sindoor’ targeted terrorist facilities in Pakistan-occupied areas, without putting civilian lives at risk.
