Delhi, May 7: Amid Indo-Pak tension, India has temporarily shut at least 25 Indian airports till May 10.
Following which, as many as 300 flights including IndiGo and Air India were grounded, to deal with the war-related exigencies.
Indian armed forces launched Operation Sindoor in response to the Pahalgam attack, leading to the closure of the airports till May 10.
According to reports, over 500 flights will be impacted, mainly affecting IndiGo and Air India.
To tackle the passengers’ concern in view of closure of flight roots or shut down of airports, it is advised by the civil aviation authorities to check with airlines for detail updates.
Earlier, India had closed about 25 flight routes that allow planes to enter Pakistan through the Indian airspace on a day when the armed forces launched missile attacks on terror targets in Pakistan, according to officials.
Against the backdrop of rising tensions between the two countries, many foreign airlines are avoiding the Pakistan airspace.
On April 30, India shut its airspace for Pakistan airline as part of retaliatory measures in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack, took place on April 22.
On April 24, Pakistan closed its airspace for Indian carriers.
