Puri-Patna-Puri Express to run with modern LHB coaches from September 5

Bhubaneswar, September 4: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has introduced modern Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches in the Puri-Patna-Puri Express, enhancing passenger comfort, safety and the overall travel experience.

An ECoR statement said that train No. 18405/18406 Puri–Patna Jn–Puri Express will run with the modern LHB coach composition with effect from September 5 from Puri and from Patna on September 6.

The upgraded train will comprise one Luggage-cum-Generator-cum-Brake Van, one Luggage-cum-Divyang-friendly Coach, four General Class Coaches, eight Sleeper Class Coaches, three Third AC Coaches and one Second AC Coach, it said.

The introduction of modern LHB coaches is part of East Coast Railway’s continued efforts to upgrade train services and provide passengers with a safer, more comfortable and superior journey, the ECoR added.

The Indian Railways has registered steady progress in the production of Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches, which are designed to provide improved safety, enhanced riding comfort and better operational performance for passengers.
