New Delhi, May 10: India successfully repelled a major drone offensive from Pakistan late Friday night, with unmanned aerial vehicles detected at 26 strategic locations ranging from Baramulla in Kashmir to Bhuj in Gujarat. Among the targets was the Srinagar airport, which was safeguarded along with other vital military and civilian infrastructure.

The Indian government accused Islamabad of using civilian aircraft as a “shield” during the aerial assault, calling it a reckless move that endangered innocent lives. According to official sources, between 300 and 400 Turkish-origin drones were launched by Pakistan across 36 points, from Leh to the coastal stretch of Sir Creek.

Military officials confirmed that all the attempted drone strikes were thwarted, including those targeting sensitive sites along the International Border and the Line of Control. This marks the third consecutive night of drone activity originating from Pakistan, with India ramping up its defensive and surveillance mechanisms in response.
