Bhubaneswar, June 30: The Khandagiri Police, in a joint operation with the Special Squad, have arrested two persons in connection with the murder of Krushna Chandra Padhi at Kolathia Square under Khandagiri police limits.

The accused have been detained at Tamando Police Station, where they are being interrogated. Police said the motive behind the murder is under investigation, and the details will be revealed by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) during a press conference.

Krushna Chandra Padhi was allegedly murdered in the early hours of Sunday. According to police, at around 1 a.m., two miscreants forcibly entered the residence of Himanshu Padhi and fatally assaulted Krushna Chandra Padhi with iron rods. The victim succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

Further investigation into the case is underway.
