Moscow/New Delhi, June 24:The Supreme Courts of India and the Russian Federation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing judicial cooperation between the two countries.

The agreement was signed in Moscow on Tuesday by Chief Justice of India Surya Kant and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov.

During the visit, Chief Justice Surya Kant, accompanied by a delegation from the Supreme Court of India, held discussions with his Russian counterpart on matters of mutual interest and avenues for strengthening collaboration between the two judicial institutions.

The MoU is expected to promote the exchange of legal knowledge, best practices, and cooperation in the administration of justice between the highest courts of the two nations.
