Balasore, March 29: In a tragic incident, a Bengali Tele Actor died on Odisha beach drowning in the sea during shooting of a spiritual album on Sunday.
The incident took place near Bhograi in the Balasore district this afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Arunoday Banerjee alias Rahul, reportedly an ace actor of the Bengal Film Industries.
According to report, a West-Bengal-based production house was shooting a devotional album themed,’ Bhole Baba Par Karega’ near the Bhograi beach today. Meanwhile, Rahul and his Heroine fell into water, while a tech was being grabbed featuring their position from a rock.
The duo was promptly rescued from water by the crew members and rushed to the Digha Hospital for resuscitation. However, Rahul was received dead.
With the untimely demise of the actor, a pall of gloom descended around the shooting set and the show was dropped there amid a wave of tears.
