Varanasi, July 27: In a spine-chilling incident of physical abuse, a five-year-old boy was allegedly subjected to brutal torture by his play school teacher in Uttar Pradesh's Varanasi after he accidentally wet his pants inside the classroom.
The accused teacher, identified as Preeti Kushwaha, allegedly heated a knife over a gas stove and burned the child's private parts to "punish" him for losing control of his bladder. She further assaulted the minor and threatened him with dire consequences if he disclosed the horrific ordeal to anyone.
According to police sources, the victim the son of a local advocate was attending class at a Play School on July 24. The child had reportedly asked Kushwaha for permission to use the washroom, but his request was denied. Unable to hold it back, the child accidentally urinated in his pants.
Infuriated by this, the teacher allegedly dragged the child into an adjoining room away from other students. She then turned on a gas stove, heated a knife until it turned red-hot, and inflicted severe burn injuries on the boy's private parts.
The incident came to light after the traumatized minor reached home and revealed his injuries to his family. When the child’s parents approached the school administration to seek accountability, the principal allegedly refused to take action and instead issued open threats to the family.
Left with no choice, the child's father approached the local police station and filed a formal complaint detailing the physical assault and intimidation.
"A case has been registered based on the complaint submitted by the victim's father. Police have initiated a detailed investigation into the allegations, and strict legal action will be taken against the accused soon," said senior police officer Atul Singh.
Authorities have assured a thorough probe into both the teacher's actions and the school administration's conduct.
