Bhubaneswar, August 5: President Droupadi Murmu visited the Dhabaleswar Temple in Berhampur on Wednesday, walking nearly one kilometre on foot to reach the shrine. She offered prayers and spent around 15 minutes inside the temple performing rituals. During her visit, the President also circumambulated the temple premises.
According to the temple priests, President Murmu personally chanted Vedic mantras while offering prayers, reflecting her deep spiritual devotion. Her participation in the rituals impressed the priests, who described the visit as a memorable occasion. They also said the President expressed her wish to visit the temple again in the future.
The temple authorities welcomed the President's visit with great enthusiasm and said they are hopeful it will bring greater recognition to the shrine and contribute to its future development.
