Born on April 11, 1827, in Maharashtra, Phule dedicated his life to challenging the social hierarchies and advocating for the rights of the oppressed, particularly the lower castes and women. His legacy continues to inspire movements for social justice even today.
Rahul Gandhi, on the occasion, remarked, “On the birth anniversary of the great social reformer, Mahatma Jyotirao Phule, I offer my deepest respects.
