Bhubaneswar, July 1: In view of the sustained passenger demand and to provide continued travel convenience, the Indian Railways extended the services of the Shalimar–Charlapalli-Shalimar and Patna Junction–Khurda Road- Patna Junction, weekly special trains till August 1.
According to an official release, Shalimar-Charlapalli Weekly Special (08045) has been extended from July 3 to 31 and will run on every Friday during this period. Similarly, Charlapalli–Shalimar Weekly Special (08046) has been extended from July 4 to August 1 and will run on every Saturday during this period.
This Special Train will consist of two Luggage-cum-Divyang Friendly Coaches, four General Second Class Coaches, twelve Sleeper class Coaches, Two AC 3-Tier Coaches and two AC 2-Tier Coaches.
Similarly, Patna Junction–Khurda Road, Weekly Special (03230) will continue to run every Thursday from July 2 to 30 and Khurda Road–Patna Junction Weekly Special (03229) will continue to run every Friday, from July 3 to 31.
This train will comprise of one Luggage-cum-Generator-cum-Brake Van, one Luggage-cum-Divyang Friendly Coaches, two General Second Class Coaches, four Sleeper Class Coaches, seven numbers of AC 3-Tier Coaches and seven AC 3-Tier Economy class Coaches, ensuring adequate accommodation for passengers travelling through this route.
“Passengers are advised to take note of the extended period and plan journeys accordingly. For updated train information, passengers may visit the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) or use official railway enquiry services before commencing their journey,” said the release.
