Bhubaneswar, Ap 18: The Odisha State Bar Council has set May 23, 2026, as the date for conducting elections for the three remaining Bar Associations in the state, whose polls were earlier postponed.

Announcing the schedule, Sitanshu Mohan Dwivedi, President of the Odisha State Bar Council, stated that elections will be held for the Nabarangapur Bar Association, Jatni Lawyers Association, and Sundargarh District Bar Association on May 23, 2026.

According to reports, the State Bar Council has already informed the Presidents and Secretaries of the respective Bar Associations. They have been instructed to convene a general body meeting immediately, appoint an Election Officer, and submit all required information to the Odisha State Bar Council before April 27, 2026.

It may be recalled that elections for all affiliated Bar Associations across Odisha were conducted on March 28 this year. However, due to certain procedural irregularities, elections for these three Bar Associations were kept in abeyance by the State Bar Council.
