Bhubaneswar, December 3: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday in the State Assembly announced the formation of a committee headed by retired bureaucrat Ashok Kumar Tripathy to examine the demands made by various teachers' and employees' unions of educational institutions under School & Mass Education and Higher Education Departments in the State.
According to an official release, the committee has been asked to submit its report to the State Government within six months.
“There are several types of Government, Government-aided, and non–government-aided private educational institutions operating under the under the State Government’s School & Mass Education Department and Higher Education Department. Associations representing teachers and employees from these sectors have frequently presented various demands to the State administration,” said the Chief Minister.
“These issues have been discussed previously," added the CM
“The State Government has taken the issues very seriously and it has been decided to constitute a high-level committee under the chairmanship of Ashok Kumar Tripathy, IAS (Retd.) to examine the set of demands of the various teachers' and employees' unions of educational institutions. The said committee will submit its report to the State Government within six months,” Majhi informed the House.
The committee will examine the demands of teachers, professors, and educational employees across the State. With the formation of the committee, the State Government will now formalise the resolution process in a scientific manner.
