Bhubaneswar, July 27: The Odisha Higher Education Department has released the admission notification for the two-year B.Ed., B.H.Ed., and M.Ed. programmes for the 2026–27 academic session.

Admissions will be conducted based on the marks obtained in the entrance examination.

Candidates can complete their choice locking on the SAMS portal from 3:00 PM on July 27 until 11:45 PM on August 5, allowing them to select their preferred higher education institutions for admission.

The first merit list will be published at 2:00 PM on August 11. Students selected in the first round can log in to the SAMS portal and choose either the Freeze or Slide option between 4:00 PM on August 11 and 3:00 PM on August 14.

The second merit list is scheduled to be released at 11:00 AM on August 20. Classes for the first year of the B.Ed., B.H.Ed., and M.Ed. programmes will commence from August 25, the Higher Education Department announced.

For the 2026–27 academic session, a total of 2,800 seats are available across 31 higher education institutions under the Higher Education Department for these teacher education programmes.
