Kolkata, March 29: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan visited Nandigram, West Bengal, on Sunday, where he met dedicated BJP workers in the constituency represented by Leader of Opposition, Suvendu Adhikari.
Pradhan described Nandigram as a symbol of change in the state and expressed confidence that the people would continue to support the BJP and Adhikari’s leadership.
Praising the party workers' dedication, Pradhan stated, “The zeal and discipline of the workers signal that the ‘Lotus’ will bloom again in Nandigram in the upcoming elections.” He reiterated the BJP’s strength in the region, especially after Adhikari’s victory over Mamata Banerjee in the 2021 Assembly elections.
As the 2026 Assembly elections approach, political activities are intensifying in Nandigram. The BJP is focusing on strengthening its presence, with Adhikari contesting from both Nandigram and Bhabanipur. Meanwhile, the TMC has fielded a former Adhikari ally, intensifying the battle.
Pradhan’s visit is seen as a morale booster for BJP workers in Purba Medinipur, reinforcing the party’s commitment to development and change.
