Madeira , August 4: With the rumours making on the rounds regarding the intimate affairs between ace footballer Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez, football fans are almost crazy to celebrate the knot ceremony of the Portuguese celebrity.

After last week's rumours that had pointed to a celebrative wedding on the first weekend of August failed to materialise, speculation now centers the coming Saturday as preparations for the marriage of Cristiano Ronaldo with Georgina Rodríguez are said to be in the final stage.

The destination for the magnificent wedding ceremony is reportedly, at the Funchal Cathedral in Madeira, according to reports.

Sources said, the Portuguese star and his partner of 10 years in love have chosen Madeira, the footballer's home island, as the setting for their unprecedented wedding. The religious ceremony is reportedly scheduled for next Saturday at the Funchal Cathedral.

The church is said to have been booked for a large wedding festival that’s to begin at 3 PM ISD.

The couple are also reported to have booked the Savoy Palace, a five-star hotel located close to the cathedral, for the wedding reception and happy stay of the invitees and valued guests.

The spacious bar in the hotel has also been booked for meeting and partying, sources said to media houses.

The 41-year-old Portuguese footballer and the Argentine-Spanish model and influencer, 32, met in 2016 and got engaged last August.

The wedding date & time has yet remained a mystery, with the Portugal Captain only revealing that it would be after the World Cup.

Once the World Cup was over, with Portugal going no further than the last 16, the buzz around the wedding began to grow still higher.

The weekend of 1 and 2 August was tipped as the most likely date, as Al-Nassr begin their season on 15 August and Ronaldo is expected to return to Saudi Arabia.

Worth mentioning, the celebrity couple was found roaming recently on holiday in Mallorca with their children.

While, Ronaldo is a football icon, Georgina Rodríguez Hernández is an Argentine and Spanish social media personality, model, and entrepreneur. She rose to fame through her relationship with Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo. In addition to her success as a model, Georgina also pursued ventures in fashion, collaborating with high-end brands and launching her own clothing line. She was the subject of a 2022 Netflix documentary, ‘ I Am Georgina’, in which she was credited as a creative producer.
