All-party meeting held under Odisha Speaker's chairmanship ahead of monsoon session

Bhubaneswar, September 16: The Odisha Assembly is preparing for its Monsoon Session, which is set to begin on September 18. In anticipation, an all-party meeting was convened at the Assembly Conference Hall on Tuesday.

The meeting, chaired by Odisha Assembly Speaker Surama Padhy, brought together lawmakers from various political parties, including the BJP, BJD, Congress, and CPM.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, the two Deputy Chief Ministers, the Government Chief Whip, the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, the Law Minister, Opposition Chief Whip Pramila Mallik, and Congress Legislature Party leader Ramachandra Kadam were present in the meeting and discussed about smooth functioning of the coming session.

Speaker Padhy called on all members to extend their cooperation to ensure orderly proceedings throughout the session.

It is important to note that the Monsoon Session will commence on September 18 and conclude on September 25, with a total of seven working days.

Additionally, the BJD legislature party is scheduled to meet on September 17 at 5 pm, as all parties make their final preparations for what is expected to be a dynamic session.
