New Delhi, May 9:The National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) conducted the second National Lok Adalat of the year across India on Saturday.
According to an official statement, a total of 2,07,66,548 cases were resolved amicably, including 1,87,63,883 pre-litigation matters and 20,02,665 pending cases, with an aggregate settlement amount of Rs 3,440.81 crore.
The release noted that the figures were somewhat lower compared to some previous National Lok Adalats, citing reasons such as the staggered scheduling in certain states and Union territories, and the ongoing consolidation of data from multiple jurisdictions.
