HDFC Bank ventures Currency Exchange Mela amid Cuttack Bali Yatra gala: Facilitates makeshift traders with essential banking at hand

Cuttack, Nov 13: The HDFC Bank has ventured a Currency Exchange Mela amid Cuttack Bali Yatra gala.

The special facility on the Mahanadi bank is facilitating makeshift traders and fairgoers with essential banking at hand.

Considering the huge gathering of people at the Cuttack Baliaytara ground, the Reserve Bank of India(RBI) in association with the HDFC Bank is conducting the Coin and Note Exchange Mela at an RBI counter.

Through the note exchange counter general public are getting benefitted by exchanging their old/ soil notes , mutilated notes and getting fresh note & coins for their long awaited annual shopping at Baliyatra.

Small traders who have installed their shops at the Baliyatra ground are also getting benefitted by availing low denomination notes and coins.

The general public and traders have appreciated the noble efforts initiated from the RBI and the allied banks for the innovative social-banking module and awareness campaign thorugh a social event.

Regional Director of RBI Sharada Prasanna Mohanty and GM FIDD Anita Pattnaik graced the event along with other RBI seniors and State Head and Currency Chest Head of HDFC Bank.

Notes and coins approximately amounting Rs 30 lakh are getting exchanged on daily basis at the exchange counter ,set up here in the Bali Yatra ground. The RBI-HDFC money exchange window remains operational from 2 PM to 10 PM.
