Tel Aviv [Israel], October 17: Israel's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, confirmed the death of Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar. Sinwar, one of the orchestrators behind the October 7 attacks in 2023, was reportedly eliminated during Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) operations in Gaza.
The IDF initially indicated that three terrorists were killed in the operation, and Sinwar was later identified among them.
This follows a series of Israeli strikes targeting high-ranking officials from Hamas and Hezbollah, including the elimination of Hezbollah's Hassan Nasrallah and another Hamas leader, Ismail Haniyeh, in different operations.
Israel has been intensifying its operations, particularly in Gaza, in response to these attacks.
