Bhubaneswar, July 26: Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday initiated stern action against 4 SCERT officials including the then Director Teachers' Training & SCERT (TT &SCERT), those found responsible for the gross mistakes in school Text books printed recently.
According to a release issued by the Odisha CMO, the then Director, Teachers' Training & SCERT Manoj Padhi has been put under suspension, based on the report of a high-level committee headed by the Development Commissioner.
Similarly, Assistant Director Pralipta Mishra, Dillip Kumar Sahu and Bharati Tudu have been suspended with the recommendation of the committee.
Apart from it, as many as 6 Asst. Directors have faced the brunt for their alleged irresponsibility relating to the preparation of text books, against whom the CM has ordered disciplinary action.
The SCERT official who are going to face departmental action are Bandita Patnaik, Manas Ranjan Rout, Manoranjan Mohapatra, Dr. Prasanta Kumar Sahu, Manas Kumar Nayak and Dr. Sudarshan Santara, read the release.
