Bhubaneswar, April 29: In the midst of ongoing political discussions about women's reservation in legislatures, Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati on Wednesday expressed his support for the state government's decision to convene a special one-day session of the assembly on April 30.

The session has been scheduled to focus on enhancing women's participation in India's democratic processes, with a particular emphasis on empowering them in governance and decision-making roles.

Governor Kambhampati took to social media to commend the initiative, stating, "I appreciate this timely and commendable initiative and extend my best wishes for the smooth and successful conduct of the session."
