Gold, silver prices decline for third consecutive day amid weak global trends

New Delhi, Mar 10: Gold prices fell for the third consecutive day, dropping by Rs 150 to Rs 88,750 per 10 grams in the national capital on Monday, amid a weak trend in global markets, according to the All India Sarafa Association.
The 99.9% pure gold had closed at Rs 88,900 per 10 grams on Friday.
Similarly, gold of 99.5% purity declined by Rs 150, settling at Rs 88,350 per 10 grams, down from the previous price of Rs 88,500 per 10 grams.
Silver prices also took a hit, falling by Rs 250 to Rs 99,250 per kg, ending a four-day streak of gains.
In the international markets, Comex gold futures for April delivery dropped 0.32% to USD 2,904.80 per ounce, while spot gold fell 0.13% to USD 2,905.31 per ounce. Silver futures for May delivery also traded lower at USD 32.80 per ounce.
