Berhampur, June 28: Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Saturday launched simultaneous raids at seven locations linked to an Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) in Ganjam, over allegations of amassing disproportionate assets (DA) beyond his known sources of income.
The accused has been identified as Susil Kumar Panda, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) in Ganjam.
According to sources, the raids were carried out at Panda’s office, residence and his relatives’ houses in Ganjam and Puri.
The raids were carried out by a team of six Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), seven Inspectors, and other supporting staff.
The locations which are being raided are:
- A triple-storey building at Ram Hari Nagar, Berhampur
- Flat No. 205 at Mukteshwar Apartment, Ankuli, Berhampur
- Another flat in Mukteshwar Apartment, Ankuli, Berhampur in the name of Panda’s brother
- A flat at Chudanga Sahi in Puri
- His paternal house at Gudali village, Kabisuryanagar, Ganjam
- His in-laws’ house at Bedha, Purushottampur, Ganjam
- His office at Ganjam Block
Till the last report came in, the searches were on under warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Berhampur.
