Bhubaneswar, Dec 3: Divyangs are full of potentials.Their inherited potentials should be reflected in employments, said Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday.

While gracing the valedictory ceremony of International Day of Persons with Disabilities-2025 at the SOA auditorium, organised by the Department of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Majhi underlined the commitments of PM Modi for the divyang community.

Highlighting the state’s roadmap for the divyangs Majhi said, the state government’s commitment to empowering persons with disabilities is solely focused on ensuring dignity, inclusion, and abundant opportunities for the divyangs.

Majhi also said, disability is never a barrier to someone’s talent and achievement. A little support from family and social interventions become instrumental to blossom the inner outer.

In order to garner institutional support towards growth and empowerment of the Divyangs, the CM urged community participation in the noble venture. Meanwhile, he urged the employers and industrial establishments, to lay emphasis on creating abundant scope of employments for the divyangs.

On the occasion, Majhi felicitated 33 sportspersons with disabilities who excelled in national and international competitions, including four members of the T20 Visually Impaired Women’s World Cup cricket team. He also distributed laptops to meritorious students.
