Bhubaneswar, Sept 24:The Odisha Vigilance on Wednesday arrested Banshidhar Pradhan, former Secretary of Dhandamunda Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society (PACS) Ltd. under Khaprakhol Block in Bolangir district, for alleged financial irregularities and fraudulent loan repayment.

According to the Vigilance , Pradhan is accused of misappropriating the funds by not accounting for seed sale proceeds, posting lower closing balances, and showing false deposits of loan repayments. He allegedly manipulated and forged the Cash/Day Book of the PACS to cover up the discrepancies worth over Rs 11,13,970.

Following a probe, the Vigilance registered a case in this connection and remanded him to judicial custody.
