Bhubaneswar, September 12: Out of the 336 newly appointed Sub-Inspectors (SIs), as many as 52 Sub-Inspectors have been inducted into the Commissionerate Police and posted in different police stations across Bhubaneswar and Cuttack Urban Police Districts (UPDs).
According to Police Commissionerate notification on Friday, these Sub-Inspectors of Police were posted to the Police Stations of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack UPDs under the Police Commissionerate, keeping in view of existing vacancies, administrative requirements and for the interest of public service.
The development came a day after DGP in-charge Vinaytosh Mishra on Friday reviewed the law and order situation of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack ahead of the festive season.
In a high level meeting held at Commissionerate Police office in Bhubaneswar, Mishra conducted a detailed review of the law and order situation under Commissionerate Police’s jurisdiction area. With the festive season approaching, Mishra directed the police to keep a close watch on habitual offenders and to prepare special security plans to ensure that the festivities are conducted in a peaceful and orderly manner.
For the context, On September 4, the Passing Out Ceremony of the 13th Batch of Cadet Sub-Inspectors was held at the Biju Patnaik State Police Academy in Bhubaneswar. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi graced the ceremony as the chief guest and extended his heartfelt greetings to the 336 newly appointed Cadet Sub-Inspectors, including 70 women SIs, who successfully completed two years of rigorous indoor and outdoor training.
