Bhubaneswar, Oct 9: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has launched searches at multiple locations in connection with the Odisha Police Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment scam. The raids include the ancestral house of prime accused Muna Mahanti in Kalapathar, along with several premises linked to Shankar Prusty and Suresh Nayak. Personnel from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) have been deployed to provide security during the searches.

According to sources, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is probing the recruitment scam, has already filed chargesheets against several accused in the case. Following revelations of financial transactions worth crores of rupees, the ED has initiated simultaneous searches at locations associated with Muna Mahanti, Shankar Prusty and Suresh Nayak.
The searches are aimed at gathering evidence related to the alleged financial irregularities linked to the recruitment scam. Further details are awaited, and attention is focused on the documents and other evidence that may emerge from the ongoing raids.
