Deputy Ranger-cum-Incharge Ranger under vigilance scanner

Bhubaneswar, Jul 25: The Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Friday conducted simultaneous raids at six locations linked to Rama Chandra Nayak, Deputy Ranger-cum-Incharge Ranger of Jeypore Forest Range in Koraput district.

The raids being conducted are based on allegations of possession of disproportionate assets.

A team of six Deputy Superintendents of Police, five inspectors, nine Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASI), and other supporting staff, led the raids based on search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Jeypore.

During the ongoing searches, Rs 3.5 lakhs have been unearthed so far.

Properties being searched by the Odisha Vigilance sleuths include:

  • His building at NKT Road, PR Petta, Jeypore Town, Dist. Koraput.
  • His Flat No. 510 at Golden Height Residential Apartment, PR Petta, Jeypore Town.
  • His other Flat No. 511at Golden Height Residential Apartment, PR Petta, Jeypore Town.
  • Flat of his brother at UMS Bhagabati Mansion, Raghunathpur Jali, Bhubaneswar.
  • House of his in-law located at Sombar Tota, Jeypore Town.
  • His office chamber at Jeypore Forest Range.
