New Delhi, May 6: As the national capital prepares for a major civil defence exercise, 'Operation Abhyaas', scheduled for Wednesday, Delhi Police has ramped up security and tightened surveillance on social media platforms to curb the spread of misinformation.
The Union Ministry of Home Affairs has directed all states to carry out mock drills on the same day in response to emerging and sophisticated security threats. This initiative comes in the wake of the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, which has heightened tensions with Pakistan and triggered a nationwide security alert.
Delhi, being a high-risk zone, is under enhanced security protocols to ensure public safety and readiness in case of emergencies.
