The situation has raised serious concerns for residents of Balingia village, where around 40 people from 12 families live. With the village road blocked, their movement and safety have become major concerns.

However, water, mud and soil entered several houses, causing extensive damage. Some chickens and goats were reportedly washed away or killed in the flooding.
Agricultural losses have also been significant, with turmeric, paddy and other crops cultivated across several acres of farmland destroyed. The damage has left local farmers worried about their livelihoods.

Following the devastation, many residents are reportedly reluctant to continue living in the vulnerable area due to fears of further landslides.
Rescue and relief efforts are crucial as the affected families face the challenge of damaged homes, destroyed crops, blocked roads and a prolonged power outage.
