Cyclone Arnab: OPSC reschedules Odisha Civil Services main exam

Bhubaneswar, Oct 27: The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has revised the schedule for the Odisha Civil Services (OCS) Main Written Examination-2025 in view of the approaching Cyclone Arnab.

According to the revised schedule, the Odia and English language papers, originally scheduled for October 29, will now be held on October 31. The Essay paper, earlier scheduled for October 30, has been postponed to November 5.

The Commission has clarified that the remaining examinations will be conducted as scheduled.

General Studies Papers I and II will be held on November 2, while Papers III and IV will be conducted on November 4. The optional subject papers are scheduled for November 7.

The rescheduling has reportedly caused concern among candidates, particularly because examinations are scheduled on consecutive days on November 4 and 5.

The OPSC conducted the OCS Preliminary Examination on June 7 at various centres across Cuttack, Balasore, Bhubaneswar, Berhampur, Sambalpur and Jeypore. The results were announced on July 10, with 5,690 candidates qualifying for the Main examination, including 1,905 women.

Candidates have been advised to check the official OPSC website for the revised examination programme and any further updates.
