Festivities and Future Skills Converge at C.V. Raman Global University
C.V. Raman Global University in Bhubaneswar recently transformed its campus into a vibrant hub of activity. The institution successfully hosted its annual cultural festival, known as "Celegance 2026." This lively event spanned two days, running from February 6 to February 7.
Leadership Honors Academic Excellence Sampad Chandra Swain, the Minister of Industries, Skill Development, and Technical Education, inaugurated the festival as the Chief Guest. During his speech, he praised the university's robust educational framework. He noted that their focus on practical training led to an impressive victory at the 2025 Odisha Skills Competition. The university secured the top spot in the state by winning 63 medals. He attributed this success directly to the institution's dedication to skill development.
Industry leaders also shared their insights during the ceremony. Jagyanshwar Das, the CEO of Vedanta Aluminium’s Metal Division, attended as the Guest of Honor. He spoke to the students about the critical role of Artificial Intelligence. He emphasized that integrating AI into modern education is essential for future growth.
Celebrating Talent and Culture University President Sanjib Kumar Rout highlighted the strong partnership between the institution and state government programs. He explained that these collaborations are vital for preparing students for their careers. The event also recognized individual student achievement. Sahil Kumar Singh received the "University All-Rounder Graduate" award for his excellence in Computer Science and Engineering.
The evenings featured high-energy entertainment. Vocalist Ananya Chakraborty performed on the first night, while singer Rishi Singh took the stage on the second day. Dr. Rudra Narayan Mohapatra concluded the successful festival with a vote of thanks.
