Bhubaneswar, August 12: A courier service centre at Jayadev Vihar was completely gutted in a fire during the early hours of Wednesday. Property worth lakhs of rupees was reportedly destroyed in the blaze.

After receiving information about the incident, three fire service teams rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control. Teams from the Secretariat Fire Station, Tamando Fire Station and the Striking Fire Force were deployed in the firefighting operation.

The exact cause of the fire remains unclear. A substantial amount of property and courier materials were reportedly destroyed in the incident. Further details are awaited.
