CM Mohan Majhi to perform ‘Akhi Muthi Anukula’ ritual, announce farmer assistance in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, AP 20: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will perform the traditional Akhi Muthi Anukula ritual at the Central Rice Research Institute (CRRI) today. Along with the ritual, the state government will provide financial assistance of ₹2,000 to every small and marginal farmer across Odisha. The support, given during the Kharif sowing season, is repeated during the New Year celebrations to benefit all eligible farmers in the state.

The state-level farmer event will also see the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, MPs Bhartuhari Mahtab and Baijayant Panda, Bibhuprasad Tarai, and all legislators from Cuttack district.

Chief Minister Mohan Majhi is scheduled to arrive at the CRRI campus in Vidyadharpur at around 8:45 am. A ceremonial puja will be held from 9:10 am to 9:40 am, followed by the inauguration of an exhibition by the Chief Minister.

Afterwards, a formal meeting will take place with key officials including the Deputy Chief Minister, divisional secretaries, and the CRRI Director. During the program, prominent farmers from the region will felicitate the Chief Minister.

Following the meeting, the Chief Minister will flag off the Krushi Rath and inaugurate the morning weaving demonstration as part of the event.
