Bhubaneswar, June 10: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on becoming the country’s longest-serving continuously elected Prime Minister, describing him as the “great charioteer of the faith, pride and rise of crores of Indians” and the “unique architect of modern India.”

In a message posted on X, Majhi extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Prime Minister on behalf of more than four crore people of Odisha.

The Chief Minister said Modi’s achievement was not merely a milestone in tenure but a recognition of his unwavering determination, spirit of sacrifice, visionary leadership and dedicated efforts towards nation-building.

“Your historic success is not merely a chapter of your tenure, but a recognition of your Himalayan-like resolve, life of sacrifice, visionary leadership and unparalleled contribution to nation-building,” Majhi stated.

Praising the Prime Minister’s leadership, Majhi said Modi’s commitment to public service had strengthened India’s position as a secure, self-reliant and respected global power. He further highlighted the government’s initiatives in national security, welfare of the poor and economic development, calling them “remarkable and praiseworthy.”

The Odisha Chief Minister also described Modi’s vision for a developed India as an inspiration for millions across the country.

Concluding his message, Majhi offered prayers to Lord Jagannath for the Prime Minister’s long, healthy and prosperous life and expressed hope that under Modi’s leadership, India would continue to achieve new milestones of progress and global recognition.

The congratulatory message came as Prime Minister Modi surpassed the continuous elected tenure record previously held by India’s first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, marking a significant milestone in the country’s political history.
