Bhubaneswar, May 28: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today felicitated Bubun Sahu, who secured the first position in the Odisha Civil Services (OCS) Examination 2024. The felicitation ceremony was held at Lok Seva Bhavan in Bhubaneswar.
Bubun Sahu hails from Tolankapada village under Anandapur subdivision of Keonjhar district. Congratulating him on this remarkable achievement, the Chief Minister praised his dedication and hard work.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister stated that public service is the primary objective of administration.
He advised the successful candidate to focus on public welfare, good governance, and ensuring the delivery of government services to the last mile.
He also emphasized the importance of working for the development of children, women, and socially and educationally backward sections of society.
The Chief Minister encouraged Sahu to become not only an efficient administrator but also a compassionate human being.
It is noteworthy that Bubun Sahu had earlier been selected for the Odisha Police Service last year. At present, he is undergoing training as a DSP at the Biju Patnaik State Police Academy (BPSPA) in Bhubaneswar since March 2026.
Sahu’s father, Bhagaban Sahu, is a farmer, while his mother, Kunjalata Sahu, is a homemaker. The Chief Minister also congratulated his parents for their son’s outstanding accomplishment.
The achievement of Bubun Sahu has become a source of pride and inspiration for the people of Keonjhar district and aspiring civil service candidates across Odisha.
