Bhubaneswar, Oct 22: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha, has taken a major step to ensure the smooth, transparent and fair conduct of the 2027 Plus Two examinations. The council has directed all examination centres to complete the installation of CCTV cameras by November 30, 2026.
In a letter addressed to all college principals, the CHSE Controller of Examinations has instructed institutions to ensure that CCTV cameras are installed at all designated locations within their premises before the deadline.
According to the directive, CCTV cameras must be installed in examination halls, the examination centre superintendent’s office and strong rooms to strengthen monitoring and prevent malpractice during the examinations.
The council has also directed colleges to update the CCTV installation status on the SAMS e-Space portal by November 30.
The CHSE has issued a strict warning that examination centres failing to comply with the instructions may face cancellation of their examination centre status and further disciplinary action.
The move is aimed at strengthening examination security, curbing malpractice and ensuring a transparent and impartial process for the 2027 Plus Two examinations across Odisha.
