CBSE to Open Answer Book Verification and Re-evaluation Portal from June 1

New Delhi, May 30: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that its post-result portal for verification of marks and re-evaluation of answer books will become operational from June 1, 2026. The move is aimed at ensuring a transparent, secure, and seamless process for students seeking review of their examination results.

In an official statement issued on Thursday, CBSE said the revised schedule has been adopted to maintain the highest standards of evaluation and to facilitate a glitch-free experience for applicants using the Post-Result Activities portal.

The board advised students facing any issues or requiring assistance to contact the CBSE Tele-Counselling Helpline at 1800 11 8004 or write to[email protected].

The announcement comes as the board gears up for post-result procedures, including verification of marks and re-evaluation requests from students across the country.

Earlier this week, CBSE dismissed concerns circulating on social media regarding the security of its On-Screen Marking (OSM) system. Clarifying the matter, the board stated that the web address being shared online was different from the portal used for evaluating answer scripts and that the actual evaluation platform had neither been compromised nor contained any vulnerabilities.

The clarification followed an earlier post in which CBSE inadvertently included an incorrect URL with an extra “s.” The board subsequently corrected the error and reissued the link ashttp://cbse.onmark.co.in.

Providing an update on post-result services, CBSE revealed that it had received 4,04,319 applications from students seeking scanned copies of answer books. A total of 11,31,961 answer books were requested, of which 8,98,214 have already been supplied digitally.

To further strengthen the re-evaluation process, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has directed that teams of professors and technical experts from Indian Institute of Technology Madras and Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur be deployed to assist CBSE in ensuring a smooth and error-free review mechanism
