Bhuabneswar, Jan 8: A bomb scare triggered panic across several courts in Odisha after an unidentified person sent a threatening email warning of explosions. Courts in Cuttack, Sambalpur, and Deogarh were allegedly targeted, prompting authorities to immediately suspend work and order evacuation of the premises.

All court staff, lawyers, and litigants were safely evacuated as police and anti-bomb squads were deployed to the affected court complexes. Intensive search operations are currently underway to rule out any security threat.

Meanwhile, similar panic prevailed at the Odisha High Court following reports of a bomb hoax. Lawyers and members of the public vacated the court premises as a precautionary measure. Security agencies are investigating the source of the threat email and have heightened vigilance across judicial establishments in the state.
