BJP appoints Dharmendra Pradhan as party’s election in-charge for Bihar Assembly polls

New Delhi/Bhubaneswar, Sept 25: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday named Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan as the party’s election in-charge for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections.

He will be assisted by Union Minister CR Paatil and Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, who have been appointed as co-incharges for the state.

The saffron party has also appointed Baijayant Panda as the party’s election in-charge for Tamil Nadu, while Murlidhar Mohol has been designated as a co-incharge for upcoming elections.

Meanwhile, the BJP has appointed Union Minister Bhupender Yadav as the election in-charge for the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections, with former Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb named as the co-incharge.

It is worth noting that the Assembly Elections for 243 seats in Bihar is scheduled to take place between October and November 2025. Meanwhile, the West Bengal Assembly Election 2026 will see a contest for 294 seats and is expected to be held around March to April 2026.

Similarly, the elections for 234 Assembly seats in Tamil Nadu are anticipated to occur in April or May 2026.
