Biju Janata Dal forms committees for Nuapada Assembly by-poll campaign

Bhubaneswar, October 8: In preparation for the upcoming Nuapada Assembly by-election, the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has formed specialized committees aimed at bolstering its campaign strategy and ensuring effective coordination across the constituency.

The formation of these committees was formalized by BJD President Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday, underscoring the party's strategic focus on strengthening its organizational footprint in the politically crucial western Odisha.

As per the official order issued, three key committees have been established: the Steering Committee, the Zonal Committee, and the Local Action Committee. Each panel will handle different facets of the party’s election campaign, ensuring a coordinated and efficient approach.

The Steering Committee, tasked with overseeing campaign policies, resource allocation, and inter-committee coordination, will be led by Prasanna Acharya, a senior BJD leader and the Deputy Leader of the Opposition in the Odisha Assembly. He will be joined by Niranjan Pujari, Snehangini Chhuria, Tukuni Sahoo, and Niranjan Bisi.

The Zonal Committee will focus on managing electoral operations in six Zilla Parishad (ZP) zones and four Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) zones. Notable regional figures such as Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo, Sarada Nayak, Sudarshan Nayak, Debesh Acharya, Saroj Meher, Manohar Randhari, Rohit Pujari, Jogesh Singh, and Bikram Panda will serve on this committee.

At the grassroots level, the Local Action Committee will engage in booth-level mobilization, voter outreach, and community engagement. This committee will include Adhiraj Panigrahi, Abani Joshi, and Manoj Mishra.
