Bhubaneswar, July 11: A two-day national-level conference titled “Metabolic Horizons Conference – 2025” is set to commence on July 12 at a prominent hotel in Bhubaneswar. The event will be formally inaugurated by Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
According to Dr. Arun Choudhury, Chairman of the organizing committee, BJP State President Manmohan Samal and Health Minister Dr. Mukesh Mahaling are also expected to attend the inaugural session.
The conference will focus on a holistic approach to health, emphasizing mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. Prof. Abhaya Sahu, Conference Chairperson, highlighted the growing threat of non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, obesity, cardiac ailments, and high cholesterol, noting that the event will serve as a platform for expert discussions on these pressing health issues.
In a key initiative, the organizers announced that free health check-up camps will be held every three months, offering consultations by medical specialists as part of ongoing public health outreach.
Dr. Ritesh Agrawal, Executive Editor of the conference, informed that around 30 renowned medical experts from across the country will participate, providing valuable insights and guidance on disease management and prevention.
Highlighting another area of concern, Editor Swayamsiddha Mangaraj pointed to the rising incidence of bone-related disorders, which will also be addressed during the sessions.
Further, Dr. Utkal Khadanga and Dr. Satyajit Tripathy stated that the conference will include focused discussions on yoga practices and dietary habits, aimed at promoting preventive healthcare and lifestyle modifications.
The Metabolic Horizons Conference – 2025 is expected to draw healthcare professionals, researchers, and wellness enthusiasts from across India, contributing to a broader dialogue on combating lifestyle diseases through integrated approaches.
