Salman Khan Begins Filming for 'Battle of Galwan'
Superstar Salman Khan has officially started shooting for his much-anticipated film, 'Battle of Galwan', in the challenging high-altitude terrain of Ladakh. The film will recount the story of the June 2020 border clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers, with Khan portraying the heroic Colonel B Santosh Babu.
First Glimpses from the Set
Confirmation that filming is underway came from the movie's director, Apoorva Lakhia, who shared a glimpse from the set on his social media. This followed a behind-the-scenes photo of Khan in character that went viral, showing him against a mountainous backdrop, gearing up for a scene. The production officially began with a small ritual, marking the start of what is expected to be a demanding schedule.
Intense Preparation for a Demanding Role
To authentically portray the role of an army officer in such extreme conditions, Salman Khan is undergoing a rigorous preparation regimen. He has adopted a strict diet and a demanding fitness routine that includes weight training, cardio, and even training in a high-pressure chamber at his home. The actor has spoken about the challenges of shooting in Ladakh, particularly the cold. His disciplined approach is aimed at ensuring he can handle the physical demands of the role and the harsh environment.
The film boasts a strong supporting cast, including Chitrangda Singh and Zeyn Shaw. For Khan, 'Battle of Galwan' is a major project that follows his recent film 'Sikandar' and comes just before he is set to host the new season of 'Bigg Boss'.
