Bhubaneswar, Sep 21: The high-level committee led by retired IAS officer Ashok Tripathy submitted its comprehensive report addressing the grievances of primary, upper primary, high school, and higher secondary teachers in the state during a high-level meeting at Lok Seva Bhawan on Monday.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, who chaired the meeting, stated that the committee's recommendations will be thoroughly reviewed and appropriate decisions will be made.
The committee was originally constituted on December 6, 2025, upon the directives of the Chief Minister and was reconstituted on February 3, 2026.
During its outreach, the committee interacted with 104 different teachers' associations across the state, conducting 90 meetings and submitting 79 reports to the government.
Committee Chairman Ashok Tripathy and Co-Chairman Sudarshan Nayak presented the core recommendations to the Chief Minister during the session.
Speaking after the meeting, Higher Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj noted that the expert committee conducted a meticulous analysis across various dimensions to compile the detailed report, which includes roughly 80 proposals framed according to the demands raised by the teachers' associations.
Suraj emphasized that the government maintains a positive outlook and will take necessary steps following a detailed examination of the findings.
The meeting was attended by School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond, Higher Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj, and the Chief Secretary.
