Bhubaneswar, January 4: To improve passenger safety and ensure the reliability of railway infrastructure, the East Coast Railway will undertake safety-related modernisation and maintenance work in the Waltair Division this month.
As a result, the pattern of train services will be temporarily regulated from Monday. Some passenger and express trains will be affected through cancellation, rescheduling, and short-termination and short-origination during this period.
Cancellation of Trains
On January 05, 12 & 19, 2026:
• Train No. 58528/58527 Visakhapatnam–Raipur–Visakhapatnam Passenger
• Train No. 58537/58538 Visakhapatnam–Koraput–Visakhapatnam Passenger
• Train No. 18512 Visakhapatnam–Koraput Intercity Express
On January 06, 13 & 20, 2026:
• Train No. 18511 Koraput–Visakhapatnam Intercity Express
Rescheduling of Trains
• Train No. 18006 Jagdalpur–Howrah Samaleswari Express will be rescheduled by 02 hours from Jagdalpur on 19th January 2026.
Short-Termination / Short-Origination of Trains
The following trains will be short-terminated on the dates mentioned below:
• Train No. 17243 Guntur–Rayagada Express will be short-terminated at Vizianagaram on 4th, 11th & 18th January 2026.
• Train No. 20829 Durg–Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express will be short-terminated at Rayagada on 5th, 12th & 19th January 2026.
• Train No. 18301 Sambalpur–Rayagada Intercity Express will be short-terminated at Muniguda on 19th January 2026.
On 5th, 12th & 19th January 2026:
• Train No. 17244 Rayagada–Guntur Express will short-originate from Vizianagaram.
• Train No. 20830 Visakhapatnam–Durg Vande Bharat Express will short-originate from Rayagada.
Similarly,
• Train No. 18302 Rayagada–Sambalpur Intercity Express will short-originate from Muniguda on 19th January 2026.
